About Googleable

Googleable is built by Roger Wakefield — a licensed master plumber from Dallas, Texas who learned findability the hard way: by building a trade business, then a media brand, and discovering that the difference between a phone that rings and a phone that doesn’t is whether people can find you.

Why this exists

Most business owners pay good money for a website and have no way to know if it’s actually working. The audit tools that exist speak jargon, bury the verdict, and stop at Google — right as customers start asking ChatGPT and Perplexity “who’s the best plumber near me” instead.

Googleable is the report card Roger wished he’d had: plain English up top, the technical detail one click deeper, and a “Tell your web designer” instruction on every finding. Think of it like a vehicle-history report for your website — an honest answer to “did the people I paid do right by me?”

How we grade

Up to 38 checks across four areas: technical health, on-page SEO, AI readiness (the signals that decide whether AI assistants can read, trust, and recommend you), and Google’s own live speed scores. Red means it’s costing you customers. Yellow means it’s not helping. Green means whoever set it up did their job — and we say so.
